The low hanging fruit keywords are highly relevant to your product and they might be either low or high competition.
But there is no reason why a product would be ranking on the first page if it was not for the relevancy and a strong conversion rate on a particular keyword.
Since there is significant data to justify that keywords are quite relevant, you can drastically increase sales by focusing on specific keywords (low hanging ones with a high conversion rate) in your ranking campaigns.
If you are ranking only on the second or third page of search results or at the bottom of the 1st one for highly search keyword, guess what - you are probably leaving a huge amount of sales.
That is why we want to figure out which keywords our product is ranking organically high for (usually position 10 to 25) or even lower down the page.
It might be worthwhile to push more aggressively with PPC campaigns to get ranked at the top of the page.
➡️ Go to the Helium 10 and open up the "Cerebro" Tool
➡️ Put in YOUR ASIN and hit "Get Keywords". If there are multiple child ASINs connected to the parent ASIN, check the "Exclude variations" option to avoid mismatch and irrelevant results.
➡️ Apply the following filters for a granular analysis:
Organic Rank: 10-25 (to find keywords where you are appearing low on the first or second page, but need a little push with from ad efforts to improve the organic position)
Search Volume: Minimum 500 (to exclude low searched keywords and focus on impactful, higher traffic keywords).
Inside the “Exclude Phrases Containing” filter, type in any brands you noticed in your niche to exclude them from the analysis.
➡️ Export the data and rename the file according to the keyword classification such as "ASIN - Low Hanging Fruits". By having a simple identifier like this you can align your ad strategy properly with the keywords.
➡️ Double check if there is a close correlation or alignemnt between the results shown on the first page and your product for a particular keyword.
The ranking strategy consists of a single campaign where you target only 1 keyword, set a high bid to appear in top of search positions for maximum visibility and choose a high budget to satisfy the demand for the product.
Once you launch a special campaign, monitor how you are moving in the search results while running ads for the kewyords. Are you climbing up or is your organic position dropping down?
Slowly make bid adjustments, increase bids on top of search placement using the "Placements" tab to drive more traffic.
When you appear in the first 4 organic spots, start slowly pulling back on ad spend, but keep monitoring the position over time.
